The Northern Ireland Volleyball Association provides coaching courses on a regular basis, from mini-volleyball to NIVA level III courses.
These coaching courses can be organised in conjunction with a delivery partner, such as a local council or school, or run on an ad-hoc basis where anyone can attend the course.
Mini-Volleyball is currently the starter course for any aspiring volleyball coach. The mini-volleyball leaders award is available at £15 per person and the course duration is approx. 3 hours.
Why Mini-Volleyball?
The philosophy behind teaching Mini-Volleyball
as an initiation to "regular" Volleyball is derived from
the answer to the question "How do we make Volleyball more
accessible?".
The simple answer: "By adapting the game and teaching
to the youngsters' abilities, and NOT THE REVERSE".
Thus, both teacher and student have an easier time of it.
A new approach to teaching
and playing Volleyball:
*
Designed for physical education classes
* Simplified techniques
* Adaptable to facilities
* Focus in on learning through participation |
