UUJ Win to Set Up All or Nothing League Decider
UUJ, 9 Dec 2006 - UUJ defeated cbphoto.ie from Limerick 3-0 on Saturday to set up a top of the table clash this coming Saturday against DCU at home.
UUJ looked comfortable throughout the first set taking it 25-16 and never showed any sign of letting up the pressure of hard serving and huge blocking, as they took the 2nd and 3rds sets 25-20 and 25-19. UUJ’s David Hamilton did most of the damage leading all kills and blocks.
The match was played in front of UUJ's biggest home crowd of the season as over 100 fans turned out to support the team. The players all commented after the game that the home crowd made a huge difference.
The win keeps UUJ in the top three in the All-Ireland Premier league table just two points behind joint league leaders DCU and Aer Lingus Jets. UUJ need a win against DCU this saturday to bring them both level on points with 2nd placed Aer Lingus Jets still to travel to “fortress Jordanstown”.
The last match of the year before the Christmas break, UUJ vs DCU, will start at 3pm this Saturday 16th December at the University of Ulster's Jordanstown campus. Admission is free of charge.
