NICS Beach Team win Barbados Triangular Challenge

5 Feb 2008 - NICS Beach Team win Barbados Triangular Challenge. With 7 wins and 1 defeat.

NICS travelled to Barbados in mid January to compete in the first Civil Service Friendship Through Sport Triangular Challenge.

The Challenge was set up by the NI Civil Service Sports Club and the Barbados Minister for Sport as a first step towards a World Civil Service Games.

Teams from Barbados, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland competed in various sports from Golf to Cricket with NI teams taking top spot in Beach Volleyball, Soccer and Tennis.

A further invitation from the Minister of Sport for Barbados has been extended to the N. Ireland, Rep.of Ireland and the Australian Civil Service to return to the idyllic island to compete in the next games which are expected to be played in 18 months time.

Times are hard in the NICS !!
