Richhill defeated Ulster Jordanstown 2-0 in the final of the 2012 NIVA Men's Cup on Saturday night. Twelve men's teams competed in an epic day of volleyball which started at 10am and ended with Richhill lifting the cup trophy at nearly 9pm.

In the final Ulster Jordasntown just were not able to replicate their fantastic performance from their semi final where they defeated Ballymoney Blaze in a very tight deciding 3rd set. Richhill overcame Lisburn Lynx in a relatively easy match and were able to rest up for the final where they ran out comfortable winners 2-0, 25-17 and 25-15. 

The 2012 NIVA Cup was held at the Lisburn Racquets Club which had six courts and 1 main court for the final. This is the first year NIVA have used the Lisburn Racquets Club but as Volleyball in Northern Ireland continues to grow we now look forward to even more teams competing next year.
