There has been a steady increase in the number of schools playing in the NIVA School's League in recent years. This year due to the number of team entering the U16 Boys and Girls Leagues, the U16 Boys League was split into two Geographic Divisions: U16 Boys North with 5 teams and U16 Boys South with 7 teams. A similar story happened wih the U16 Girls North with 5 teams and U16 Girls South with 6 teams.
The NIVA Schools league runs from half term at Haloween until spring half term.
Following the completion of the leagues, the top 2 teams in each of the U16 North and South Divisions will automatically qualify for the playoff finals on the 28th Feb 2012 from 11:30-15:30pm at the University of Ulster's Jordanstown Campus.
The playoff finals day will feature cross over semi finals followed by finals for each of the girls and boys competitions. The full schedule is below:
